An Eagle by any other name flies high

As poet Maya Angelou encourages "pick up your chicken feather quill, or pin, to draw a straight line.

The totem poles in Alaska and the Northwest were carved from straight long cedar trees where the Tsimchian Indians recorded their legends and honored important people. The legend of the eagle was special to them as it was and is today from many cultures. Coming from the spirit of the story, legend has it the chief rescued and freed a trapped eagle where his feathers were tangled in the brush. The great bird flew away. Later when famine came and the people were staring the eagle brought them food.
